This month we are supporting Pride at GLOSSYBOX. This is our fourth special designed box of the year and we are so proud to be able to add a splash of colour to our classic pink box with the famous LGBT symbol of the rainbow flag.

It isn't just about the box this month. We are supporting the LGBT Foundation throughout the month with awareness activities and a big fundraising day. Make sure to keep an eye on our Insta Story to see!

With this month's box we want to generate wider awareness to the importance of Pride, the significance of supporting the LGBT community and the amazing work the LGBT Foundation do to help others.

With a help from a few of our friends we created the video below:

Who are the LGBT Foundation?

Established in 1975, the LGBT Foundation supports the needs of the wide range of people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans.

We believe in a fair and equal society where all LGBT people can achieve their full potential. #EqualityWins underpins much of what we do and we aim to be; ‘here if you need us.’

What do they do?

Each year, the LGBT Foundation serve over 40,000 people around the country and provide information to over 200,000 individuals online. As a result, they serve more LGBT people than any other charity of their kind in the UK.

Throughout all of their work, they support LGBT people to increase their skills, knowledge and self-confidence to improve and maintain their health and wellbeing. We also work in partnership with others to build strong, cohesive and influential LGBT communities.

Working together, we are changing LGBT lives for the better and securing a safe, equal and healthy future for all LGBT people.

Why is it important?

The LGBT Foundation gives these individuals the support regarding relationships, coming out, family issues, knowing your legal rights, reporting a hate crime, or you just if you need someone to talk to- get in touch and tell us how we can help.

With the help of others, the LGBT Foundation can provide a number of services and activities to benefit the LGBT community such as a range of support groups; face-to-face counselling; a helpline, email and pop-in service; a befriending scheme; a sexual health programme, a substance-misuse project; organisational training; a range of guides and resources; a national website; advice surgeries; LGBT infrastructure support; various research projects and policy campaigning.

How to donate

We all want lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) communities to thrive. With your donations the LGBT Foundation can help them to be healthy, happy and heard. You can make a donation online that is quick and easy to help change LGBT people's lives through JustGiving!

You can also donate by text, powered by Just Text Giving by Vodafone, and your donation will be added to your next bill, or taken from your available pay-as-you-go balance. Text 'LGBT18 £10' to 70070 to give £10, or change the amount to whatever you like.

Or you can fundraise like us! We are hosting a Pride Party in our GLOSSY HQ on 10th August where all money raised will go to the LGBT Foundation!

I am always searching for future trends - beauty, fashion, hair, you name it! I’ve tried every foundation under the sun and love trying up-and-coming makeup brands to compare them with the big names. Variety is the spice of life and my makeup bag is definitely wide-ranging.
