The Best Beauty Looks on the Oscars 2018 Red Carpet

Award season has come to a close with the most iconic night in entertainment, the Oscars. It’s the evening where all Hollywood A-Listers recruit the best stylists and makeup artists so they can walk the red carpet dressed to the nines! Here are some of our favourite beauty looks from last nights Oscars!

Lupita Nyongo

Black Panther actress, Lupita Nyongo’s red carpet look is the talk of Beauty columns. Makeup artist, Nick Barose used inspiration from Ancient Egyptian beauty using Lancome products to create this amazing look. We think the blue and gold colour combo compliments Lupita’s glowing skin beautifully and the bright colours against her dark eyes really make them shine through!

Blue always pops more against dark skin than black and I love the ancient Egyptian colors combo of blue and gold! Perfect for goddess moment on the red carpet. – Nick Barose

Zendaya

Although she went for a more natural look for the Vanity Fair after party, Zendaya’s full glam look for this years Oscars featured strongly contoured cheek bones, perfectly sleek brows, a chocolate brown smokey eye that matched the colour of her gown, framed with whispy lashes. Although the 21 year old wasn’t nominated for an award she truly stole the show.

We just love this palette from Illamasqua which would re-create this smokey eye look.

Margot Robbie

From soap opera Neighbours to the Oscars, Australian beauty Margot Robbie sported a minimal makeup look this year at her first Oscars as a nominated actress with lightly blushed cheeks, an on trend nude lip and filled in brows that suits her pale complexion.

Zoey Deutch

Up and coming actress, Zoey Deutch graced the carpet in a silver eco-friendly dress and a makeup look that screams old Hollywood glamour. Makeup artist Kate Lee used Chanel’s new Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eyeshadow to create Zoey’s soft smokey eye and a matching berry lip to compliment her auburn hair and pale complexion. Check out Kate Lee’s Instagram story to see the products she used to create this gorgeous look!

We love this palette from Maybelline which has a really nice gold texture to match Zoey’s smokey eye look.

Jennifer Lawrence

Previous Oscar winner and all-round sass queen, Jennifer Lawrence gave us all hair envy with these voluminous beach waves! Her natural glow created with eye popping highlight along her cheekbones and a sparkling cat eye matched her metallic gown perfectly and is giving us serious disco vibes. Plus, the red lipstick is perfectly suited due to the release of her new film Red Sparrow!

There is only one go-to for a red lip. MAC never, ever leaves our handbags.

Jennifer Garner

We wouldn’t usually expect to see Neutrogena on the red carpet, but as the current face of the brand known for skin care Jennifer Garner‘s Oscars look by Genevieve Herr was created using all Neutrogena products! Perfect for ageing skin! We’re in love with the Neutrogena moisture smooth Colorstick in ‘Pink Nude’ on her lips and the ‘Smokey Steel’ palette used on her eyes!

Emma Stone

Last year’s Best Actress winner, Emma Stone, ditched a dress for a suit and graced this years Oscars with this glossy look by Rachel Goodwin using NARS. The burgundy and navy colours in her outfit are what evidently inspired this metallic eye shadow alongside a glossy lip to have her face shine like the satin in her outfit!

You too can own a NARS lip gloss! Head over to our friends at Lookfantastic & choose yours!
