Your Christmas stocking may have been full of them, and you may have opened more than one bow-tied makeup gift under the tree, but there’s no time to have beauty fatigue now.
You see, there’s a lot of newness coming your way in January 2017, from makeup collaborations to skincare launches – oh, and some exciting new ingredients making it into your balms, lotions and cream.
So get your diary out and mark in these dates, because these are the most exciting beauty launches coming your way…
Skin fix Healthy Skin Face Collection, from £12.99, is a Canadian brand that has become a cult buy across the Atlantic and its facial skincare reaches our shores – specifically Boots – on January 1st. Dermatologist recommended, it’s also formulated with a special complex that’s proven to keep the skin barrier healthy. What that means for you? Hydrated, brightened and plumped skin.
Jo Malone London Myrrh & Tonka Bean Cologne Intense, £105, is set to be a rich, sophisticated scent that blends almonds and vanilla with tonka bean for a sensual, warming perfume. The perfect accessory for a winter wardrobe, especially when spritzed on pulse points.
The 1st also welcomes a brand new collection of breakthrough face primers from NARS, £27. The trio of formulas – from protecting to shine controlling – will prep your skin and create the perfect canvas for your makeup. YSL is also launching a brand new blusher on the 1st, which is part of its spring 2017 collection. The Face Palette Collector, £42.50, has the most beautiful hint of orange to it!
Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair is a cult beauty hero, renowned for its results and devoted fans – and on 2nd January the brand welcomes Concentrated Eye Masks, £10, to the collection – so you can deliver a decent dose of serum to the delicate eye area – all while you put your feet up!
Sheet masks are definitely having a moment, and DHC CoQ10 Mask, £4.50, will brighten, tighten and nourish your skin. The powerful antioxidant, CoQ10, protects against the loss of elasticity, while vitamins C and E brighten and hydrate. And it takes just 20 minutes to see results.
Vitamin B, or Niacinamide to be precise, in skincare is a huge trend for 2017, not least because it protects and strengthens skin cells, so add Alpha-H Vitamin B Serum, £58.50, to your shopping list. In the mix with this anti-ageing serum is copper, chia seed and a whole host of omega 3 and 6, essential fatty acids and antioxidants.
It goes without saying that when Caroline Hirons launches a cleanser, it’s going to be one of the best around – and that’s exactly what’s happening on 12th January. Together with the founder of Pixi, Petra Strand, she’s created a 2-in-1 jar containing all you need to make double cleansing effortless yet effective – a solid cleaning oil on one side and a cream on the other. We know one thing for sure, Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse, £24, is bound to sell out super fast – and we’ll be the first in line!
Eyes show the signs of ageing more than any other part of the face, so treating the skin is a priority if anti-ageing is your want. Katherine Daniels Multi-Tasking Eye Balm, £32, melts into skin and boosts radiance, helps disguise dark circles and reduces the appearance of crow’s feet by 38%.
We can all sculpt with makeup, but does your skincare give you contours? Exuviance Age Reverse Total Correct + Sculpt, £58, when used over time, promotes plumpness using AminoFil technology. Regular use promotes collagen production to help increase natural plumpness, and it also encourages cell turnover for skin that’s smoother with fewer wrinkles. It’s an anti-ageing must-have.
Elemis Gentle Foaming Face Wash, £28, also launches today. Don’t be fooled into thinking that cleansing is merely functional, it can actually nourish and treat skin and this gentle foam contains apple amino acids, orange peel wax and fig extract to soften, protect and hydrate skin, while also prepping it for your skincare.
Now here’s a collaboration to get your beauty pulse racing… In February, Too Faced and Kat von D will collaborate on the Ultimate Eye Collections, £46, which contains six Too Faced eyeshadows and a mascara, six Kat von D eyeshadows and her iconic Tattoo Liner. Don’t delay, this is the kind of palette that sells out immediately.
