This month it’s all been about pretty pleasures, and enjoying those indulgent little treats that make you feel great. And for many of us at Glossy HQ, a bit of Sunday self-care does just this!

My Sunday day time plans would normally vary greatly, but recently it’s all been about getting outdoors, going for a nice walk and enjoying the slightly warmer weather. But come the evening, my routine is pretty consistent. For me, my Sunday nights are about winding down, relaxing and getting myself ready for the week ahead! Whatever I've got happening in the coming week, I always feel so much calmer and more prepared to take it all on if I've taken the time on Sunday to get myself as ready as I can be.

My Sunday Self Care Routine

While I’m pretty care free with self-care – more often than not I'll go with the flow and do whatever I feel like at the time - I've definitely got a few must-complete self-care tasks on my Sunday to do list!

1. A Warm Bath Or Shower

I’m not always a bath person, but if I do take the time to run myself one, I make sure it’s worth it. That means an indulgent bubble bath and bath bomb! I love all of the cute, pastel coloured designs of Bubble T’s bath fizzers. If I'm only feeling a quick shower, I'll pamper myself with haircare products instead. I’m currently loving L'Oréal Paris Elvive's Dream Lengths Wonder Water 8 Second Hair Treatment. It’s literally the best hair treatment I've ever tried! (We’ve already shared a review of L'Oréal’s sell-out Wonder Water – read it on our blog now!).

2. Top Up The Tan

I don’t know about you, but having a tan makes everything feel 100 x better! And whilst we can’t jet off for some holiday sun just yet, for now I've been turning to the bottle. As well as saturating my skin in a gradual tanned glow, I make sure I choose a brand whose tanning products also hydrate my skin to leave it feeling silky smooth.

3. A Fabulous Face Mask

One of the simplest self-care acts there is has to be a face mask! They’re super cheap, take no time at all to use, and not only leave your skin looking great, they make you feel wonderful too! I’m currently loving Skin Republic’s Prep + Glow with Olivia Buckland mask. Enriched with a potent blend of Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen and Pomegranate Extract, this sheet mask helps to pump my skin full of hydration, while also smoothing and toning my complexion! (Some Glossies will have received this face mask in their March ‘Pretty Pleasures’ GLOSSYBOXIf you did and you haven’t tried it yet, this is your sign to give it a go!).

4. Complete My Skincare Routine

After a face mask, I'll finish off the rest of my skincare routine. I recently bought the full GLOSSYBOX oily skincare set and, honestly, my skin has never looked or felt better! I love the Hydrating Mist (both day and night!), as it truly feels so refreshing, and I'll follow this up with both the Eye Boost Cream and Night SerumUsing these products, and following a tailored skincare routine for my combination skin, has helped my skin to look brighter and more even – and I really can’t remember the last time I had bad breakouts!

5. Light A Relaxing Candle

Once all of my bathroom pampering is complete, it’s time to slump on the sofa for a few hours before bed. And what really allows me to chill out for a couple of hours is a lighting a relaxing candle. I recently got the NEOM Organics Real Luxury Luxury Scented Candle, and it’s honestly amazing! It’s calming fragrance of English lavender, sweet basil and jasmine helpbalance your senses and is wonderful for getting a deep and restful night’s sleep.

6. Watch Or Read

To end my night, I'll either cosy up and continue binge watching something on Netflix, put on a feel-good film or bury my head into a good book! Right now, my housemate and I are LOVING Offspring on Netflix. I don’t even remember how we found it, but it’s ridiculous how invested we now are in this Australian drama! (If you’re going to watch it, you’ll have to persevere through the first stupidly long episode, but I promise it gets so good!). I love an easy read too – I'm currently reading Dolly Alderton’s Ghosts and would definitely recommend!

I'm someone who loves getting glammed up, but I feel like I never have enough time. Frequently running between work, the gym and seeing friends means my makeup routine is quick and often touched up on the go. Therefore, beauty products that serve as multi-purpose are perfect for me - a blush that works for cheeks and lips is a must in my makeup bag!
