If you read my article about the benefits of switching from single-use face wipes to reusable makeup pads, you’ll know what a difference it can make to your beauty footprint. Plus, a make‐up removing cloth really does work just as well (if not better) than the less eco-friendly versions.

Of course, most of you won’t need to take my word for it anymore, as you’ll have received a Make‐up Removing Cloth from The Vintage Cosmetic Company in your June ‘World Of Beauty’ box.

Introducing The Wickedly Wild Make‐up Removing Cloth

We’re obsessed with these cloths – and not just because they boast sassy animal print patterns!

They have been made with specifically formulated polyester which gives them a dual texture. One side has soft-fibres which remove makeup, and the other works to exfoliate your skin. Used together, you can expect a fresh, squeaky clean complexion.

Do Makeup Removing Cloths Really Work?

I’ll admit it, when I first discovered makeup removing cloths that just require water (no makeup remover or cleanser), I was skeptical. When I tried them though, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly and effectively they worked. They even took off my stubborn mascara!

These makeup removing cloths feel gentle against your skin and remove makeup without excess rubbing.

How To Use Your Make‐up Removing Cloth

As A Cleanser

The name is a bit of a giveaway here, but your cloths can be used to cleanse your skin and remove makeup. Surprisingly, you don’t need to use any makeup remover or cleanser. All you need to do is:

  • Remove your cloth from its packaging and wet it thoroughly under warm water (the warmer the water, the quicker your makeup will melt away – but don’t burn yourself!).
  • Hold the cloth so that the short-fibres gently cover your eyes, leave it there for a few seconds, then gently rub it back and forth to remove your makeup.
  • When it has all gone, you can then use it to gently massage the rest of your face using circular motions and wash off the rest of your makeup.

As An Exfoliator

Yes, this cloth can be used as an exfoliator too! If you flip your pad over so that the short-fibres side is facing upwards and the other one is one your skin, you can gently exfoliate your complexion. Simply wet the cloth thoroughly, then use it to gently massage your skin in circular motions. Smooth, fresh skin awaits!
