How To Enter
Visit our Facebook page, find the GLITTERBOX competition post and simply tell us the three friends you want to invite along.
You and your party must be over 18 and must be able to make the Official Manchester Pride Afterparty, in Manchester on Saturday 25th August. It takes place at the Albert Hall from 10pm until 4am (last entry is 11pm).
The two winners will be chosen at random on Monday 13th August. Full T&Cs are at the bottom of this post.
Who Are GLITTERBOX?
For you GLOSSIES who haven’t heard of GLITTERBOX before, it is an eccentric club-night born out of the legendary Defected Records label which is home to hits such as Camelphat’s platinum selling “Cola“, MK’s “17” and classics such as Kings of Tomorrow “Finally“, Roger Sanchez “Another Chance“, Soulsearcher “I Can’t Get Enough” and Powerhouse Featuring Duane Harden “What U Need“.
GLITTERBOX host sellout nights at Hi in Ibiza throughout the Summer, alongside a regular compilation series which is available on iTunes & Spotify, a bi-weekly podcast and now has it’s own record label too.
The night is extravagant, flamboyant, eclectic and embraces the freedom of being yourself. You’ll find a range of ages, sexes and colour at GLITTERBOX with everyone partying together. The music, which crosses house and disco, is very much in keeping with the euphoric feeling too. It is one of the best nights you will ever go to, hands down.
In an interview with Pulse Radio, Defected Records head-honcho Simon Dunmore put it simply:
I think that the world has lost sight of the fact that we all need to live together, regardless of sex and race.
Simon continued: “It’s always been true of clubs; with acid house, everyone was equal. A lot of the early iconic clubs around the world were mixed in terms of sexuality. In fact many of them were gay clubs, but welcomed straight people and everyone got on. It’s really important. It brings a sense of extravagancy, extrovertedness and character to the dance floor. Not that there haven’t been gay parties or that gay people weren’t welcome (that’s never been the case), but that extravagance has been missing from the dance floor—that’s what we’re trying to achieve.”

You and your invited party must be over 18 years old to enter. You must be available to attend on Saturday 25th August and be able to make your own travel and accommodation arrangements to Manchester. GLOSSYBOX will forward the names of the winners, and their chosen party, to GLITTERBOX. Your names will be put on a free entry guestlist at the entrance of the Albert Hall.
