Firming Throat Gel
The neck and décolleté is an area that’s seriously overlooked when it comes to skincare and it often falls into no-man’s land!
French women consider their necks and décolleté (your chest area) to be a striking extension of the face and look after this area from a very young age. It just goes to show that it’s never too early to start preventative measures against signs of ageing!
With a complex of powerful vitamins, this Strategie Jeunesse Firming Throat Gel, £49, visibly tightens the delicate neck and décolleté, leaving it instantly smooth. Jeanne Gatineau originally launched this product in 1666! 50 years and some product refining later, this Throat Gel still remains one of their best-selling products because it is so effective.
How to apply the throat gel
Always apply Gatineau’s Firming Throat Gel morning and evening after cleansing (but before you moisturise). For the best results we recommend starting at your décolleté and working your hands in gentle upward strokes towards your jawline. By moving your skin upwards and encouraging increased circulation, you optimise any potential firming and lifting results!

Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
Did you know that the skin around our eyes is up to 10 times thinner than the rest of the face and is therefore one of the most delicate outer areas of our body? I love dramatic eye looks, waterproof mascara and a lot of liquid eyeliner, which is all well and good but removing this gently is the problem.
I have always searched for a gentle eye makeup remover and was so impressed with Gatineau’s Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, £21. With added extracts of cucumber and aloe vera, it cools and soothes dry, tired eyes, intensively hydrates delicate skin and leaves a sensation of softness to the eye contour. You’ll be pleased to know that it’s also oil free, hypoallergenic and suitable for contact lens wearers too!
A fabulous multitasker, it also fights signs of ageing in the process; the green tea extracts within offer protection from anti-oxidants by quenching free radicals and reducing inflammation to help reduce dark circles and puffiness.
It’s also perfectly handbag and travel sized, so you can correct any eye makeup disasters on the go with a Q-Tip.
How to use the eye makeup remover
I like to apply the eye makeup remover onto two cotton pads. I then hold a pad on each eye for 15-20 seconds, which starts to dissolve your eye makeup without harshly scrubbing. I then gently swipe away any residue and cleanse the rest of my face afterwards as normal.

Best-selling Tan Accelerator
Because I am off on my holidays very soon I also tried the rest of their amazing range including the Gatineau Tan Accelerating Lotion, £49.
I have very fair skin, use high factor sun cream on holiday and tan slowly and cautiously so I was excited to try it. This lotion helps to prepare, boost and prolong tanning before and after sun exposure while encouraging the skin’s natural self-protection through melanin production (what makes you tan). It also helps to avoid prickly heat (something that I have had a few times on holiday before) so it’ll be a lifesaver on holiday.
I will be abroad when you all read this, so I’ve already started applying this at night as recommended (2 weeks before jetting off). I love the texture of this cream because it’s not greasy or heavy. Instead, it feels light, instantly absorbs and it smells gorgeous! Gatineau also recommend using this as an after-sun, so I am looking forward to taking this with me on holiday and applying it each day.
