A World Of Beauty: Paris

As a nation, the French win the award for understated chic. They know how to marry a nonchalant up-do and a statement lip or nail with a fresh complexion: a completely effortless combination that never looks overdone.

Audrey Barbier-Litvak, Managing Director of GLOSSYBOX France is no exception. She balances her beauty regime with enviable insouciance, saying, “My beauty haunts tend to be near delicious restaurants.”

The balm
Nuxe Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm, £9.50 slides over my lips and keeps them in a perfect state all day long.

The face saviour
My go-to moisturiser for pretty much everything is Egyptian Magic All Purpose Face Cream, £29. Lips, face, body… you name it! I always keep it near me in order to liberally daub my kids in it for no reason: stomach ache? Broken heart? Feeling lonely?

The French mani favourite
I always keep Nailmatic Polish, £18 (set of three) handy in a bright orange shade, which adds a touch of chic to my everyday look. It’s easy to apply with a perfectly round brush and has a long lasting finish.

The pharmacy buy
Used backstage at many a show during Paris fashion week, Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Water, £15 removes any make-up residue and is perfect for sensitive skin. I’ve tried EVERYTHING from oil to cream and this is the champion.

The new-season update
I am a huge fan of NARS. I especially love the compacts that contain a blush, highlighter and bronzer: all essential to perfectly sculpt my cheekbones and I’d feel naked without them. This month NARS have a collection of three different palettes to covet including this True NARS Palette, £29, of three lip colours and Blame it on NARS, £45, a collection of cheek and bronzing shades.

The mascara
I can’t live without Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, £19. It has a wow-effect that makes it look like I have fake lashes and increases volume and length like no other mascara.
