Most disappointing box I’ve received
I love receiving Glossybox and have generally had a really positive experience. Some boxes have been outstanding. But wasn’t thrilled with last month and completely disappointed with this months. Firstly the mix of products was poor. Yet another Matt lipstick, the colour so pale it erased my lips and made me look dead. Two face masks and a face scrub, the latter which was virtually empty. Not even enough to use once. And second month in a row it’s happened. Plus some sort of ‘veil’ that I have no idea what the point is of it or how meant to use it. Considering they were mainly meant to be full sizes, on the whole they were a disappointing size for a sample, let alone full size. For example the face mask is just 30 ml and costs nearly the same in pounds. Sorry but I call that travel size. Glossybox used to give generous sized samples and normal full sizes, plus throw in odd little treats. Products used to be a good mix of products, with quirky and different things to try. Now it just seems a constant selection of Matt lipstick, cheap eyeshadows, eyebrow cosmetics, lip balm and face oil. I hate to say it but Glossybox has become the same as another well known subscription box, which I left for all of the reasons above. As much as I love the packaging, I have no intention of paying all that money for a pretty box every month. Stop with the themes and go back to how it used to be please.

Not my fav box at all, a lot of products I don't use
A bit disappointed with this month's box because of the products I don't use or are the wrong colour for my skin tone. The lipstick was way to light for my skin. I don't use a beauty blender so I don't need it. I gave away several items.

This is my first box in a few years and i'm instantly addicted again!!! A great way to try out things i'd never really think to buy for myself. There is nothing in this box that i'm not excited to give a try! I got the silicone blender, mask, primer, lipstick and a rose face oil (the oil didn't appear on the list of possibilities but is definitely something i'll use). The quality of the contents is amazing and i'm definitely signing up for the next one - fingers crossed for a great April box!

I was first bought a 3 month subscription by my daughter and I'm now a subscriber myself, I've had 5 boxes in total and haven't been disappointed by any of them, as soon as my email comes through as dispatched I can't wait till it arrives, I always check out the sneak peek on glossy box but am always surprised when I get my treats, love the pretty packaging and undoing the bow to reveal my goodies always feels and looks like a luxurious present and is to me very indulgent, can't wait to see what future products I receive, a must for all ladies who love to pamper themselves

My First Glossybox

So I'm a member of the Swedish version since that's where I live but I'm English hence English review, here goes: In recent years I've taken to makeup as a hobby, I'm still very novice and working out what suits me (I'm blonde with cool toned fair skin) I've only recently figured out cool toned skin by apparently look at what colour my veins are in my wrists, weird right? So here's where glossybox comes in. Being the total novice I still am and not having a huge budget to spend on makeup, I wanted something that gave me new ideas and helped me find new makeup loves that would be worth the money to buy full sized, through the magic of Google and YouTube I found glossybox, I had a look at some sneak peaks and YouTube unboxing and was immediately gripped.....then I saw the subscription cost....I was floored, it's so cheap it was PERFECT for my budget, what's more is its totally tailored to your beauty profile! I couldn't help but make excited squealing noises, I'd found what I was looking for, I subscribed and got my first box (February) First off the box itself, beautiful pink floral print lid and great quality box, I'm using it to keep my daily makeup essentials in. What I got: Idevine makeup pallete in 'storm' - beautiful, strong pigments in shimmering and matte, fantastic blending ability making it easy to use to create both soft and dramatic looks. Steve Laurant lip colour in 'nude pop' suits my skin tone in a nice subtle peach kind of colour, feels nice and soft, non sticky and keeps my lips soft, almost like a balm, love it when I want a soft look Beauty for real I-line in 'platinum blonde' looks super metallic, easy to use twisty pencil that goes on smooth and really finishes off a smokey eye or party glam look Sebastian Dark oil - a hair oil which smells absolutely lush, with my oily/fine hair I use it on damp and then blow-dry/style it, worked a treat for me Barnängen body lotion - the smell is lovely, a little goes a long way and it immediately dries into the skin making it soft and non greasy like most lotions You get a gorgeous glossy mag and a helpful card which tells you about the products plus a random free gift card/code, presented all lovely in the box with tissue paper padding. Can’t stay I have ever had a bad box, maybe an item now & again i wouldn't use but my daughters usually take them & if not I pop them aside for the blythewood shoe box appeal.
