Glossies, there’s no denying we all love our beauty…

As we wave goodbye to another year, I wanted to share with you my favourite products I've turned to time and time again this year - that I will continue to use in 2023!

I'm hoping to introduce you to some new makeup must-haves...so keep scrolling and take a look at a full face I've put together with my favourite beauty buys from my makeup bag.

Primer Lottie London Coconut Primer

This lightweight primer has been my go to for months! It smells so yummy! My complexion is left silky smooth ready for foundation application with an added dewy finish - perfect for any time of year! Thanks to the Coconut, your skin is hydrated and the Chamomile Extract calms skin and soothes skin. My fave thing about this primer is that it adds a subtle shimmer so makes even a matte foundation glowy...don't worry glossies I have oily skin and it isn't too much!

Foundation

Rimmel Kind and Free Skin Tint Moisturising Foundation

This year I have fallen in love with lightweight foundations. This skin tint blurs any imperfections I have on my face that day. I can build it up to give myself more coverage in an evening or leave it sheer for a day to day look. Infused with Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and Pro Vitamin B5 - this makeup/skincare hybrid adds moisture - which this month has made such a difference as my face has felt soft and supple even in the cold weather!

ConcealerNYX Professional Makeup 3C Palette - Colour Correcting Concealerhttps://www.lookfantastic.com/nyx-professional-makeup-3c-palette-color-correcting-concealer/11530558.html

Something I swear by is colour correcting and 2022 has been the year I have found my holy grail...thanks NYX!This palette features 4 colour correctorsand 2 concealers. Each shade is creamy, easy to blend and has fantastic coverage. Here is how I use each shade;   Lavender - when my skin tone is looking uneven. Green - to counter balance any redness. Peach - (my absolute fave shade) to cover my dark circles - it works too! Yellow - cover any dark spots and I use to cover dark circles when my Peach shade has ran out.   My biggest tip with this palette is experiment with it - mix shades together, try different shades on different problem areas until you find your perfect match.

ConcealerBarry M Fresh Face Perfecting Concealerhttps://www.lookfantastic.com/barry-m-cosmetics-fresh-face-perfecting-concealer-7ml-various-shades/13505485.html

Just like my foundation, I've also been loving lightweight concealers this year. Barry M - one of my fave British makeup brands - have created this natural finish concealer infused with our favourite skincare ingredient - hyaluronic acid- even after a few hours of wear, my under eyes never feel dry or look cakey! I use a couple of different shades - one to brighten my complexion and one to conceal my dark circles and blemishes. If you're an on the go glossy like me - add this to your makeup bag stat!

PowderPIXI H2O Skinveil Powder

Now glossies - I've been through a journey this year with powders and I've finally landed on a product that ticks every box! This completely weightless powder, blurs skin, leaving you looking flawless! Again, infused with Hyaluronic Acid, this powder draws moisture from my skin - allowing my concealer to stay put all day! PIXI have infused Aloe Vera into this powder too - so the powder feels comfortable and unlike other powders I've used, my face feels supple and smooth AF!

Contour Stick

SOSU Cream Contour Stick

https://www.lookfantastic.com/sosu-cosmetics-cream-stick-30g-various-colours/13452163.html This year was the year I got into using different makeup brands, not just reaching for my usual favourites, I wanted to branch out - which is how I found SOSU! The first makeup brand founded by an Irish Influencer - Suzanne Jackson! This cream stick (depending on shade choice) can either highlight or contour - personally I use it for contour. It's perfectly pigmented and easily blendable - it's one of the creamiest contour sticks I have ever used. You can blend out with either a beauty sponge or a brush!

Blusher Ciate London Dewy Blush - Coconut 10ml

https://www.lookfantastic.com/ciate-london-dewy-blush-coconut-10ml/12490439.html If you asked me my favourite makeup product this year - I would for sure say Blush! Liquid or cream blush to be exact. I couldn't live without it - and Ciaté have been my besties for this, this year! Shade Coconut is a sexy deep mauve - perfect for most skin tones. It's lightweight, so you can build it to be as natural or as bold as you want. It has a unique gel-balm consistency that feels lovely on the skin and from experience, blends out beautifully, (FYI i use a beauty sponge) leaving a gorgeous radiant result.

Highlighter  Luvia Prime Glow Palette Essential Highlighter Shades - Vol.1

My new years resolution is to incorporate more Vegan makeup brands into my routine - I thought I'd start early this year, so this is a new addition to my makeup bag. Fun fact - Luvia is one of Germany's first Vegan Makeup Brands! The highlighters themselves, may be the most silkiest, soft powders I've ever used! With one stroke of your brush, you're complexion is luminous and bright! They blend seamlessly with your other base products to give the most natural glow. What I love the most is you have every colour you need for highlighting, for whatever makeup look you go for. My favourite this time of year is the festive gold!

BrowsWet n Wild Brow Sessive Brow Shaping Pencil https://www.lookfantastic.com/wet-n-wild-brow-sessive-brow-shaping-pencil-various-shades/13760338.html

Glossies, when it comes to brows, I do believe you don't need to break the bank to achieve a flawless brow. I've always been a fan of wet n wild and this Shaping Pencil is just another hit by the brand (who have been going now for over 40 years!). I like my brow pencils softly-pigmented so I can style my brows as soft or as full as I'd like - which is what this pencil allows me to do. Of course it's dual-ended - allowing you to brush and blend as you please. In a nutshell Glossies - this does exactly what it says on the tin and is fantastic value for money at just over £3.

Eyeshadow

Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eyeshadow Palette

We all loved the OG Born This Way Palette - so when Too Faced released this Sunset Stripped version - I had to buy it! Since then, it's become a staple in my makeup routine. An array of 16 gorgeous sun-kissed hues. Perfect to take you from day to night. The pearly shimmershave zero fall out and the metallic shades shine all day! The mattes are perfectly creamy and pigmented. I love how Too Faced have incorporated Coconut Water, Hyaluronic Acid and Alpine Rose into each powder - meaning no shade is drying or cracks throughout the day, just pure moisture and hydration! My go to this year has been, Shade High Tide all over my lid. The yummy caramel shade Sun Chaser in my crease. Shade Cocoa Glow in my outer corner to give me a smoky effect and finally, the golden shimmer shade Sandy Cheeks in my inner corner to brighten my eyes.

Mascara

Eyeko - Cocoa Edit Mascara - Brown

https://www.lookfantastic.com/eyeko-black-magic-cocoa-edit-mascara-brown/12509361.html This year I have fallen in love with Brown Mascara! I find it a much better option in the daytime and really enhances my eye colour.Eyeko’s Black Magic mascara is iconic and I know this Brown Edit is on it's way to becoming the same. Shea Butter and Keratin work together to condition lashes and keep your lashes soft and supple. Applying this Mascara is super easy due to the curved brush, each lash is left volumous and fanned-out. No effort needed! Say goodbye to that awkward 'Mascara Face' (come on Glossies, we've all made them).

Lips

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick with Vitamin E - 130 Mulberry

https://www.lookfantastic.com/max-factor-colour-elixir-lipstick-with-vitamin-e-130-mulberry/12193956.html Forget the classic red lip or sultry nude, this year I've learnt it’s all about being bold and berry. This lippie in shade Mulberry is a rich pink berry lipstickwith a whole host of added benefits. Key ingredients Avocado, Aloe Butter and Sheatreat and soften your pout, making it feel it's very best from dawn to dusk. The formula is super lightweight, the lippie just glides on smoothly in one stroke. It's the best addition to any makeup look.

You know how people say putting on your favourite clothes can instantly boost or change your mood? Well that's how I feel when I put on my favourite makeup. Makeup isn't to cover up, it's to show off our personality - and I love how everyone does their makeup in their own unique way! I never leave the house without a tinted lip balm in hand, and just like everyone right now, I love a good dupe!
