Favourite Royal Beauty Products Revealed

While royals don’t always share the products they swear by, every now and again we hear rumours. From the Queen’s favourite lipstick, to Kate Middleton’s rumoured go-to eyeshadow palette and the secret behind Meghan Markle’s luscious lashes, ‘fit for a Queen’ may just be a figure of speech but these beauty products really are worthy of Buckingham Palace…

The Queen

The Queen’s Lippy

The Queen loves Elizabeth Arden lipstick and she’s been papped reapplying it at several royal occasions. She originally endorsed the brand in 1962 and it seems her taste for a bold lip hasn’t changed since.

The Queen’s Nail Polish

While she famously likes to experiment with colours when it comes to her wardrobe, the Queen sticks to one colour (and an understated one at that) when it comes to her nails. She’s been wearing Essie’s sheer pink shade ‘Ballet Slippers’, £7.99, for over three decades, with even Essie’s website stating that in 1989 Her Royal Highness’ hairdresser wrote to them and asked for a bottle, saying it was ‘the only colour Her Majesty would wear.’ Apparently, Essie can count Kate as a fan too.

Meghan Markle

Although she’s not quite a royal yet, she’s been wowing everyone during royal engagements prior to her wedding! We had to know what her favourite beauty products are.

Her Lipstick

According to Hello Mag, Meghan, Amal Clooney, Sienna Miller and Cindy Crawford love Charlotte Tilbury lipstick. Meghan rocks a nude lip, especially on her official engagement photos and also swears by Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution lipstick in Very Victoria, £24.

Her Luscious Lashes

We also wanted to know the secret behind Meghans’s incredible eyes and eyelashes. Thankfully, Meghan revealed when she was an actress that she uses the Iconic Mascara from Dior, £27, and keeps her lashes in fabulous condition using Revitalash, £74 for 2ml!

Her Peachy Blush

And that rosy tone on her cheeks you ask? Well it’s the Nars Orgasm Blush. It’s “a perfect rosy flush tone that brightens the face,” she told Beauty Banter.

Kate Middleton

Her Secret Potion For Glowing Skin

With two young children and a newborn, Kate Middleton needs all the help she can get to get quality sleep and a glowing complexion. We’re not sure we would look this good a few hours after giving birth so what’s her secret?

Welcome to the family. Thank you everyone for your kind wishes.

It’s said that Kate uses Beuti’s Beauty Sleep Elixir, £42, to achieve her radiant complexion! This is a miracle worker that’s fortified with fourteen precious plant oils, including Camellia, Lavender, Geranium and Neroli! The fast-absorbing, multi-beneficial elixir renews your skin to restore a healthy glow.

This elixir has definitely experienced the ‘Kate Middleton effect’ – it’s often sold out so grab some while you can!

Her Eyeshadow

Urban Decay’s palettes have fans far and wide and it seems the Duchess of Cambridge herself can’t resist this popular eye palette either. She’s said to count the first palette in the collection as a favourite – and rumour has it she even recommended it to Michelle Obama!

Her Flawless Base

Is this the product that gives Kate that incredible flawless finish? Rumour has it she stocks up on a tube of Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturiser, £30.60, at Peter Jones in Sloane Square! The tinted moisturiser comes in a range of hues and leaves your skin glowing with a subtle amount of coverage.

One For The Guys: Prince Philip’s Aftershave

With so many scents to choose from, we’ve been wondering which aftershave would be fit for a prince. It turns out your boyfriend probably isn’t wearing it, as it’s an eau de toilette from niche brand Penhaligons’s, who charge £98 for 100ml. Rumour has it they’re also behind Kate Middleton’s scent too.

If these products are fit for the royals, the most heavily photographed people on earth, then they’re fit for our Glossies too.
