As we get closer towards the end of the year (how has that happened already?), it's time to turn our attention from the summer beauty trends to what winter has to offer. And let us tell you, there are some truly dreamy ways to paint your face and style your hair for the new season.

While plaits will always have a firm spot in our summer beauty style, the autumn/winter 2016 shows offered up a few autumnal ways to wear them throughout the colder months too, with the hair at Rachel Zoe being one of our favourites.

The Romeo & Juliet-esque style was a whimiscal and wispy half-up fishtail braid created by TRESemmé lead stylist, Jeanie Syfu. Here's how we got on recreating the look:

Here's how...1. Section off a front portion of hair on both sides. 2. Tease the roots slightly to give a little added lift, then create a fishtail braid with each section and fasten with a hair tie. 3. Gather both your braids at the back of your head, remove the hair ties and join them together by creating a single fishtail braid down the centre, securing it with a hair tie at the end. 4. Use your fingers to gently tease the braids out for a wispy texture and finish with a spritz of hairspray to hold it all in place.
