Affordable Beauty Surprises
Got this subscription to get a discount on the advent calendar. My first box arrived today and it was a bit hit and miss but overall I was pleased! The Aveeno Oat Balm & the Bodyworks Cloud Headband are definitely the top items so looking forward to using them. I'll be giving the eyeliner away and will keep the body serum for some special occassion (though the perfume smell is a bit too sweet and overpowering for my liking so would need to mix it with something). Only thing I'm a bit meh about is the dry shampoo. I have 4c hair so I'm sure this "volumising" dry shampoo was not made for my hair type. But I'm not too fussed as I can always experiment to see if it works e.g with braids, and if not, give it away. I'd be more annoyed if I paid more for the subscription but for the price, 2 great, 2 medium and 1 meh isn't so bad for the joy of a monthly surprise box! Packaging is also lovely and I can't wait to use them for storage :)

First glossy box
My first box and overall quite pleased with it. The dry shampoo is a travel size but other than that rest are full size products. Not so keen on the hair band (would use while doing my make up but that’s it and already have hair bands for that use) I use black eyeliner most days so that was very handy and I love the body serum

Presentation poor looked like it had been previously out The shredded paper hanging out from box before open. The tissue paper inside all rucked and twisted. The serum all sticky like it been open and the shredded paper stuck to sticky mess around neck of bottle. All in all bit of a mess in Box and not that impressed.

Just recieved my first box today and came pretty quickly! ordered on 8/10 in the evening and came today 11/10. Headband is something i’ve been wanting just haven’t gotten round to getting one. Aveeno balm never tried before but have heard really good things so excited to try it. Dry shampoo been needing one and smells great. perfect size for taking around with me. Glow body serum smells absolutely gorgeous and the product i never knew i needed. Liner i dont really use them but never a bad idea to have and can be a good essential. Pleased to say it’s my first box.
