We're in love with everything about this month's Glossybox theme, Daydreamer! We love the pastel colours featured in this month's box so much that we got our very own Amy Forsythe to create a dreamy nail art tutorial for you Glossies to try.

For this tutorial Amy used the gorgeous HJ Manicure nail varnishes for this look in the pastel shades Pink Bikini, Thunder Storm and Turquoise Sea.

This collector's edition box was inspired by tranquil settings; designed using a palette of soft, pastel hues representing delicate, feminine, springtime. We added cloud detail to represent relaxation and dreams about your future.

Step 1

Start with clean, dry nails. Use a nail file to take off any rough edges and smooth all your nails into an even shape. Apply your chosen base coat and leave to dry. We used Ciaté Status Grow to give our nails a little growth boost!

Step 2

Take a small, clean makeup sponge and drop dots of nail polish directly onto the flat surface. Try to mix up the colours as much as possible but don't worry about being neat!

Step 3

While the polish is still wet, take the sponge and stamp it gently onto your nails, the pattern will be very faint at first - don't worry! Repeat by dropping more polish onto the sponge and applying it to your nail. Build up the colour until it becomes opaque. When you're happy with your dreamy blended pattern, leave the polish to dry completely.

Step 4

Take a small eyeshadow brush, dip it in strong nail polish remover (or pure acetone) and use the brush to clean excess polish from around the edge of your nail. Try to get a smooth line around the edge of the cuticle.

Step 5

Finish with a top coat. We used a matte top coat to match the finish of our Daydreamer box, Ciate Mattnificent Top Coat!

Easy peasy! The great thing about this nail art look is that you can mix it up with different colours, add a glossy top coat, or some glitter and match it to different outfits.

If you try this at home, don't forget to take a pic and show us by tagging #glossyboxuk - we can't wait to see!

I am always searching for future trends - beauty, fashion, hair, you name it! I’ve tried every foundation under the sun and love trying up-and-coming makeup brands to compare them with the big names. Variety is the spice of life and my makeup bag is definitely wide-ranging.
