Five Wellbeing Tips For The Month Ahead…

With January blues done and dusted, a new month brings with it a fresh new start. We’ve shrugged off the post-Christmas slump, have finally adjusted back into the daily grind of work (those first few early morning alarms were a struggle, right?) and we’re ready and raring to get the most out of the year ahead. Wellbeing Tips

Positive thinking and a rush of happiness-boosting endorphins are a great start and the key to both is one word: exercise. You see, your body releases endorphins when you workout and they trigger a positive feeling in the body similar to morphine. But with over a third of us having canceled our gym membership by the end of January and three quarters of us feeling like we need a little extra motivation (we know the feeling) in order to exercise, mustering up the energy to ‘get up and go’ can be a struggle at times.

To give you a helping hand, here are 5 things to help you get the most from the month ahead, wellbeing-wise…

Honestly, if you’re struggling to muster up the enthusiasm or willpower to complete your New Year’s Resolution, meditation mantras are a great way to help you achieve a certain goal. Youtube! There are a battalion of workouts you can do from the comfort of your own home and the best part is some of them only take a mere ten minutes. Here are some of our favourite ten minute Youtube workouts…

Vitamin D
The National Institute for Health & Care Excellence has revealed new guidelines regarding sun exposure, stating there is no safe way to get a sun tan (these sun creams will keep you covered). What’s more, research has shown that it is impossible for us to get enough vitamin D from sunlight in Britain between October and March – resulting in one in four of us suffering from vitamin D deficiency. Try giving yourself a boost, via a daily dose of beauty supplements. Here are some of our favourites.

Pre-prepped lunch
Making your own lunch for work means you know exactly what’s in it, so if you’re on a bit of a health kick try preparing lunch for the week ahead on a Sunday evening. These five healthy lunch recipes will have you counting down the minutes for midday to arrive…

Pancake Day is on it’s way…
