At Glossybox we love to coin new beauty terms. This month we’ve discovered the ‘blunzer’, which we’ve included in your August beauty box.
What’s a blunzer you may ask: it’s a hybrid of blusher and bronzer a.k.a the perfect trans-seasonal shade. The Colour Powder Blush from Swedish pro make-up artistry brand Emite (the MAC of Stockholm!) marries all the warmth of a bronzer to enhance a tan (fake or otherwise) with the peachier tones of a blush to define cheekbones. Here’s the 101 on how to get the best from this post summer staple, which you’ll use all winter too. And be sure to take look at our unboxing video for even more tips.
Top-up sunkissed skin
Use a large brush to buff this all over skin paying particular attention to the areas of the face that the sun naturally hits: the tops of cheekbones, the forehead, nose and chin. As Emite is a professional brand the pigment goes a long way so apply sparingly for a subtly bronzed complexion.
Lift and define cheekbones by blending it from the apples of the cheeks to the tops of your cheekbones. Make like the pros and add a pop of pink over the top, centred on the apples only, to mimic a naturally rosy flush.
The blunzer is the perfect shade to contour and define eyes without looking like you’re got make-up on. Plus it has the added bonus of brightening the whites of your eyes making them appear whiter. Simply use a precise angled brush to sweep it along the sockets of your eyelids.
