Introducing the colours that will define your spring wardrobe, whether it’s clothes or make-up.
When it comes to predicting the key colour trends for each season, Pantone is the authority. Its team of clever colour forecasters have made our Saturdays easier by pinpointing the bang-on-trend shades to shop for.
According to these colour whizzes, the outlook for spring is colourful, with a trend for cooler, softer tones. Think understated brights and pale or washed-out pastels accented with neutral shades, which you’d naturally find in nature.
Let Pantone’s colour palette be your inspiration for eyes, lips and nails.
Blue was a key spring/summer 2015 trend for eyes at too many shows to mention – it’s easiest to wear it in a bold line along lashes.
The colour choice for minimalist manis: toasted almond is a punchier take on ‘foundation’ shade for nails.
This muted pink perfectly plays up lips – keep it dusty and muted as seen at Philip Lim. Eyes were also blush at Emilia Wickstead.
These ‘off’ colours reflect the earthy shades we saw framing eyes at the spring/summer 2015 shows. Expect to see these dusty oranges and desert yellows on nails too.
