Chia Seed Energy Balls

If you’re having an afternoon slump this is the snack that will have you back tackling your inbox at full speed. “One of the easiest snacks to make, it’s raw, vegan, gluten-free, contains no refined sugar and always flies off the shelves,” says Sofia at LabOrganic, the go-to for raw, freshly prepared foods. The following recipe makes 30 energy balls.

110g Dates
100g Almonds
100g Hazelnuts
100g Walnuts
10g Hemp seeds
10g Chia seeds
2 tbsp Cocoa powder
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Agave syrup or honey (if you prefer to make energy balls sweeter) 2 tbsp

1. Add all ingredients apart from agave syrup/honey and blend properly in food processor. Blend for a few minutes until the mixture sticks together but doesn’t become too oily.
2. Add agave or honey to taste and blend for a few more seconds.
3. Scoop and pat into balls. Enjoy fresh or refrigerate for later.
