Party Face: The Team’s Seasonal Make-up Looks

Glossies, this is the prime time to go all out on your make-up. Here in the office we’ve been discussing which beauty looks we’ll be channeling throughout the party season, so we put make-up to paper and transformed Glossy face charts to get our ideas flowing. To give you a little inspiration, we thought we’d share our favourites with you. Seasonal Make-up Looks

I love a smokey eye and although I don’t really go for dark hues, this year I’m giving brown a shot using a smudgy liner- my inspiration being the one and only Penelope Cruz. I’m contouring my cheeks and dabbing a little cream blush on top to add a spot of colour – all pulled together with a slick of pink lipstick.

Usually I’m all about the smokey eye and most of my make-up consists of dense, dark shadows and smudgy liners. But come December there’s already enough glitz going on so I’m stripping it back to black liquid liner… with a twist. After lining lashes, I kick the liner up at the outer corners, folding it back towards the eye and along the socket (prime the eyelid to stop any smudging mid-evening). It’s dramatic but refrains from looking OTT with a LBD.

I tend to be quite pared-back when it comes to make-up but once December arrives, I rely on little tweaks to make more of a statement. This year, bold party_makeup_face_chart_alicered lipstick is my go-to product  and to accompany this I’m going to add a dash of bronze to my cheekbones. To give my eyes some extra definition, I’m turning to a flick of eyeliner and plenty of glossy black mascara.

We would love to see your ideas too! We’ve posted a blank face chart on our Facebook page, so you can design one of your own! Don’t forget to share it with us, using the hashtag #myglossylook
