Easy Christmas Nail Art

While we know Christmas is a time for overindulgence, when it comes to festive manicures, we like it pretty and pared back (no Santa Claws for us, thank you very much). Easy Christmas Nail Art

So just a little inspired by our December GLOSSYBOX we’ve called upon the Christmas classics, berry reds and simple snowflakes, for a seasonal design that’s easy to do and pretty jolly to wear too. Give it a whirl!

STEP ONE
Cut and file your nails to prepare for your manicure. Using a base coat to avoid staining your nails red, apply two coats of your favourite scarlet nail polish – we’ve used Rimmel London 60 Seconds 303 Raw As Night, £3.69.

STEP TWO
Create your basic snowflake using a fine-tipped nail art brush in white – try Models Own Nail Art Pen, £5.99. Paint a thin line down the middle of your nail, then draw an ‘X’ over the top.

STEP THREE
To capture the intricacies of a snow flake, decorate each line with short diagonal flicks.

STEP FOUR
To go all out turn you attention to your other nails too. Using the dotting side of your nail art pen, create the illusion of falling snow by concentrating the dots at the base of the nail.
