Six Ways To Use Lipgloss

While lipgloss may be designed to make your pout shiny, there are actually a number of other ways it can come in handy too.

So if you’re ever on the go and in desperate need of a highlighter or urgently need to tame a couple of pesky fly aways, but only have a lipgloss in your bag you can be safe in the knowledge that it can work it’s glossy magic on more than just your lips!

Apply a clear gloss to your eyelids – either on it’s own or on top of a shadow – for a beautiful, on-trend glossy eye look.

Mix a clear or tinted lipgloss with an eyeshadow to create your own custom lip colour. We mixed Hawaiian Tropic’s Lip Gloss, £6, which has a slightly pink tint to it with a bright pink eyeshadow to amp up the colour!

If you’ve forgotten to apply blusher or simply want to add a dash of colour to your complexion, pink lipgloss doubles as a cheek stain! Simply blend it into the apples of your cheeks for a flush of lived-in colour.

Glitter lips are a big trend for festivals at the moment and while they make a big statement, they’re pretty easy to achieve. Simply mix a slightly tinted or clear lipgloss with some loose glitter in your chosen colour, then use a lip brush to carefully dab it onto your lips.

If your baby hairs are making an appearance or your fly aways are a little out of control, clear lip gloss works a treat to tame hair. Simply add a little to a clean toothbrush and use it to brush them down. What’s more, if you don’t have any styling products to hand try applying a little clear gloss to the ends of your hair – it’ll make them far more manageable!
